Hello my name is Ryan Dutson. I live in the Forest of Dean and attended Sanford School, before 1N9A0223 (2)starting my work experience at the Forest Upcycling Project.  I have worked on the project since it started on the 1st June, 2014.  I have now been paid to work here since 13th October. Whilst working at the project I have enjoy talking to the customers, moving the furniture and answering the phone. I like the people who I work with – it is good fun. Since starting at Forest Upcycling I have also widened my range of vocabulary and improved my reading and writing. In my spare time I watch TV and enjoy watching Soaps.

Hello my name is Josh Boocock (with Wayne Rooney in the photo) and I ajoshlso live in the Forest of Dean. I attended Dean Hall School (now called the Heart of the Forest School) before starting work experience at the project near the end of July. I have  been paid to work here since 13th October. My favourite thing about my work is meeting new people and talking to the customers. On a day to day basis I move furniture and help out with deliveries. I really enjoy working here alongside Matt. In my spare time I like to play football, support Manchester United and like to play on my iPad.  ‘I like having a job it makes me feel grown up’.

Chelsea is our Admin assistant.  If you call, chances are she’ll answer.  A great asset to the team, we couldn’t function without her. 20160406_132602

Paul S., Philip, Paul D. and Merv make up our gardening teams. Out working whatever the weather, and always with a smile on their faces!  They often get a hand from Tom, Matt and Vanessa in their role.

Nadine joined the project in September 2015.  Nadine plays a role in the day to day running of the showrooms, as well as keeping an eye on all the paperwork.

Kris, is the manager of our Chepstow Showroom.  He is the first contact for donations and sales on the Welsh side of the border, and has done a fantastic job so far getting the community involved in what we do.

Tom can often be found in the workshop at Cinderford.  He is our chief kindling maker, and also builds items on commission, like this log store in his photo.  When he is not in his workshop he is out on the van helping with deliveries and collections.

June has joined our team on a part time basis and works in both showrooms providing support and cover when needed.  Everything is certainly much cleaner since she joined us!

Luke is our van driver, responsible for making collections and doing deliveries and he is often about on house moves too – he was been a long term volunteer on the van and is an extremely hard worker.

Jen joined Forest Upcycling Project in October 2017 as a Navigator Developer for the GEM Project.  She is working hard to support people into employment and volunteering opportunities.

Most recently, we welcome Connor and Darcy, who are both working at the Chepstow branch, Monmouthshire Upcycle, to support Kris in working with customers and keeping the showroom tidy.  They are joining us through a supported employment scheme called Engage to Change.

We would also like to say a massive THANK YOU to all our volunteers, without whom we would really struggle to operate.
